The Astraeus SE represents an upgraded auditory and hardware revision over the standard Astraeus model, incorporating the following hardware enhancements:

• The input stage has been designed to handle input voltages up to 8.5V RMS (up to 25V peak-to-peak). The connection to the signal source in the Astraeus SE is established via audio transformers, ensuring complete galvanic isolation between the source and the amplifier.
• The input impedance has been lowered to 10kΩ, significantly improving the signal-to-noise ratio.
• The tube-based input stage is now positioned downstream of the audio transformers and volume control, preventing unnecessary overdrive of the sensitive tube buffer from excessive input signals.
• The vacuum tube buffer and germanium transistors are now directly coupled.

In this Special Edition of the Astraeus, we have achieved a richer holographic presentation and enhanced overall fluidity.

With these refinements, this meticulously engineered hybrid delivers a more refined soundstage through its input transformers, smoothing out the sonic presentation while giving instruments and vocals greater body and volume.

Increasing the maximum input voltage threshold to nearly 8.5V RMS eliminated the need for the hardware attenuation feature found on the standard Astraeus.
